General
1. What is V like Vintage?
V like Vintage is a website for photographs taken up until 1970.
The V like Vintage website offers space and a special atmosphere for photographs about, e.g. people, travelling, countries, fashion, technology or architecture.
For one, you have the ability to put your own photos online with tags, a title and a description. You can also search for pictures, comment on photographs and thus actively participate in creating the webpages.

Registration
1. What advantages are there to register with V like Vintage?
As a registered user you can upload photographs to the V like Vintage website, rate and comment on photographs as well as answer to comments on your own photographs.
Unregistered users can simply view photographs.
2. Where can I register with V like Vintage?
You can get to the "Registration" form from every V like Vintage webpage. It is always on the top right, in the page header.
3. What information is required to register?
On the "Registration" page please fill in the following required fields:
Username:
You can choose your own username. It must be at least 5 characters long to make it secure.
Email address:
Enter an email address that you regularly check.
Password:
You can choose your own password. To ensure that the password is secure, it should consist of both letters and numbers. Keep your password secret. Use a combination of letters and numbers that would be difficult for someone else to guess.
4. What is the "Optional Information" in the registration form for?
Further enhancements to the V like Vintage website include enabling members to contact one another. In a future version of V like Vintage you will, for example, be able to search for members who live in the same postcode area as you. You can include this optional information (such as your full name and place of residence) either when you register or at any later point in time. You can also register without providing any of the optional information.
5. How is my registration information protected?
We respect your privacy and use the information you provide exclusively in accordance with the provisions of German laws on privacy, namely the "Bundesdatenschutzgesetz" (BDSG), the "Teledienstedatenschutzgesetz" (TDDSG) and the "Teledienstegesetz" (TDG). Rules and regulations
1. What photographs am I allowed to upload?
Each V like Vintage member agrees to ensure that no one else currently has any rights (copyrights, personal rights) to all the material uploaded to the V like Vintage website. Each member also agrees to only transfer legal content, namely nothing that glorifies violence, is pornographic, racist or harmful to minors. This applies in particular to pictures that portray or suggest anticonstitutional ideas, content that encroach upon or disparage the rights of individuals or people groups.

2. For which reasons would the V like Vintage editors delete a photograph?
The company V like Vintage GmbH, Hamburg as the operator of the V like Vintage website has the right, but accepts no obligation, to check, edit, delete or block any content that is transmitted to the V like Vintage website if it should infringe upon the Terms and Conditions and/or applicable law, if such an infringement is suspected or if the content is in any way deemed inappropriate by the moderators/editors responsible for the above-mentioned measures. Furthermore, the company V like Vintage GmbH, Hamburg can delegate this right to any natural or legal persons it chooses.
This website’s operator reserves the right to prevent the display of national socialistic symbols even if they are only part of a report on current or historical affairs or matters of similar intent. V like Vintage explicitly distances itself from any right extremist ideas.

Uploading Photos
1. Who can upload photographs to the V like Vintage website?
Every registered member can upload photographs (that do not infringe upon the existing copyrights of a third party). Please register here before you upload.
2. How can I upload photographs to the V like Vintage website?
After having registered as a member, you can upload photographs under "Upload Photo" in the menu. You must be logged in to upload photographs.
Please follow the following steps to upload photographs:
1st step:
Go to the "My Photos" menu item that is available on the homepage.
2nd step:
From there select the "Upload Photo" menu item.
3rd step:
In the form, click on "Browse" to select the picture you wish to upload. From here you can access the photos that are saved on the hard disk of your computer.
4th step:
Select other photographs that you would like to upload. You can select a photo in each line of the upload form. This allows you to upload up to 5 photographs at the same time.
5th step:
Click on "Upload" to upload the selected pictures.
3. How large can the uploaded photographs be?
You can upload photographs up to 5 Megabytes in size. Please note that the upload time depends on the size of the photograph.
4. Can I decide which of my uploaded photographs can be viewed online?
Each photograph that you upload to the V like Vintage website is immediately available to view to all registered and non-registered users of the Vintage website. There is no way to "block" a photograph before it is published online. Please take this into account before your upload your photographs to the V like Vintage Website.

Editing uploaded photographs
1. How do I access my uploaded photographs?
You will find the photographs you uploaded in your personal Photo Manager. You must be logged in to open your Photo Manager.
1st step:
Go to the "My Photos" menu item that can be found on the homepage.
2nd step:
Select the "Photo Manager" menu item.
3rd step:
Select a folder which contains the photographs you wish to edit.
2. How can I edit uploaded photographs?
You can edit uploaded photographs in the Photo Manager. To invoke the Photo Manager you must be logged in. To edit a photograph proceed as follows:
1st step:
Go to the "Photo Manager" menu item that is available under the "My Photos" menu item.
2nd step:
With a click, select the folder that contains the photo you wish to edit.
3rd step:
The photo will appear on the right side of your screen. Under the photograph you will find editing options from which you can now choose.
4th step:
Select an editing option.
3. How do I add tags and what is their purpose?
Tags are concepts that factually and emotionally describe a picture’s content. You can give multiple tags to a photograph. Separate individual tags with a space. The picture of a laughing girl could have the following tags: child infant girl laughing happiness fun.

1. How can you help to ensure the quality of the V like Vintage website?
Users who notice that an illegal or prohibited use has been made of the V like Vintage website can report this using the contact form. It can be reached from all webpages or by using the "Report photo" button.
The V like Vintage editors will immediately deal with the matter and take appropriate measures.
